West Georgia Star is a Non-profit Company that offers residential services to the residents of LaGrange Housing Authority as well as the surrounding community that promotes self-sufficiency. West Georgia Star wants to prepare our community to lead responsible and fulfilling lives by providing mentoring, education, and living support within a safe, structured environment — whether in one of our training facilities, in the community, or in their own homes.

We take great pride in providing excellent curriculums that make everlasting, positive changes in the lives of those we serve. Our platforms are designed to equip our community with the vision, motivation, life skills, education, and self-discipline necessary to lead a successful life.

West Georgia Star applies a strengths-based, person-centered approach to services and engages family, as permitted and appropriate, throughout the family self-sufficiency training process.  The program operates 10 hours per day, 5 days a week, and on the weekend as needed.

All services listed are provided by West Georgia Star or a contractual partnership with an existing agency.  The main goals of West Georgia Star are to promote family self sufficiency, to decentralize poverty, and to help families get good jobs and earn enough money so they do not need public assistance.
